That being said, it does set up for the next book which I am really looking forward to. It never felt like it was earned because the journey was way too quick.

If there were hints along the way I would have felt totally different. On the whole, the series continues to improve. Though forbidden to do so, Obi-Wan’s heart tells him he must help the young save their planet.

It must be, since the Young seem to have several hundred of them sitting around to use, but if they’re that common, shouldn’t it be devenders easy to see through the diversion? Chances are, you’ll be too caught up in the events to think too much on whether or not the characters are acting as you would expect them to.

The Young are depicted as the heroes of the story, but even then, their methods are questionable, enough so as to drive a wedge between Obi Wan and Qui-Gon.

The books in this series appentice quick reads and likable. Obi-Wan must decide whether he belongs with the Young, despite being ordered to not get involved, or to continue along with his Jedi training.
