The first book in this nonfiction trilogy describes the true life of Princess Trilpgy, a sasdon in the royal house of Saudi Arabia where she lives in a “gilded cage” with no freedom and no control over her own life.
As Sultana battles for a life of dignity, she saves other women from servitude. You have never read a story like Sultana’s, and you will never forget her or her Muslim sisters. Jean’s first book based on her eye witness reporting on the invasion of Kuwait by Iraqi troops was an immediate bestseller. Shortly thereafter she became a full-time writer. Still traveling the world, Jean has made her homebase in Atlanta, Georgia where she is a passionate animal rights and women’s rights supporter.

It is easy to say that it is lower when you do not have to count the following as crimes: Honor Killings- Muslims can kill their wives and kids without having to go to jail.
The man just has to say that they were dishonored. Pedophiliac practices- Children still in diapers can be promised to a husband. Sex starts at 9. They can have several wives. Then he may marry another child! He may prncess a temporary marriage. He can be married for 1 hour or 1 week. This is so he can have sex with a woman and not be guilty of having an affair. I feel it is just a form of rape.
Abuse- Men are allowed to rape and beat their servants and kids without any one being charged with a crime. One story in the book talks about an uncle who locks his niece in a room for 15 years and triloty no one to talk with triloty.
She is fed and given water princesd. She meet a boy not of the Muslim faith and fell in love with him. Rape- If a woman is raped she must prove it as here. But a large number of countries say that 4 men must see the rape for her to prove it. If the woman cannot prove it then she is guilty of having an affair. She will be stoned to death.
Another crime in my mind. Slavery- In this book she tells of seeing a dozen women kept by a relative as sex slaves.
Her family ignores the problem. In our country these crimes are counted.
The Complete Princess Trilogy (Princess Trilogy) by Jean Sasson
This does give us a larger crime rate. It gives Muslim countries a black eye. One person found this tri, ogy. I enjoyed this trilogy very much. I am disgusted with the Royal Family. The authorities aren’t armed, so I would hope the majority could revolt fairly easily. Keep it secret within the family so that their wealth and monarchy aren’t compromised.
It sickens me that the woman who was impregnated in the hospital wasn’t even an afterthought to that horrible family. If only they would trilohy known that a couple of month’s treatment with a London psychiatrist would set them straight!! I don’t think people get a choice in their sexuality. With her resources she could do so many interesting things, even with her restrictions.
Pick up a book. Surely there are enough details in this trilogy to confirm the princess’ identity. Those are a few things that have me questioning the authenticity of the book. Even had the book been promoted as fiction, I still would have enjoyed a view inside the royal family. One small woman’s voice heard all over the world. It was very educational and well written. I noticed on the individual book reviews, this book got a few negative reviews sasspn seemed as if they could only be from persons living in the middle east, that were insulted about the generalization that all women are treated like the ones in this book.
While it does make the plight of women in Saudi Arabia appear terrible, I am sure this is not every women’s experience. The terrible acts that she writes about happen all over the world, and in the U. It just seems that in that area it is more difficult to persecute them. Especially when parents actually sell their children. This woman the princess was just brave enough to tell about the things she saw in hopes that conditions would improve.
The Princess Trilogy by Jean Sasson
My mother in law was a foreign bride brought to the U. I am sure she chose this option as a way to help her family left behind, and it did. In many ways that seems like abuse, but actually they had a long happy marriage and the money provided education and medical benefits to her family.
I had trouble putting these books down and read them in a day and a half. Even just one person can change the world, and this woman has. The trilogy is a selection for my book club, or I may not have chosen it. The way some of the women are treated in Saudi Arabia is shocking. Even the wealthy ones have limited rights. The protagonist, Sultana, is unique in that she is very aggressive in asserting herself as when her husband wanted to take a second wife.
The way foreign workers are sometimes treated was also unconscionable, some treated like no more than sex slaves. Despite all her wealth and privilege, Sultana still has a conscience and has made it her goal to help women who are abused. See all reviews.
