Most low-budget movies look low-budget because the director is forced to compromise at the last minute. And, for all its examples, the authors provide no time stamp during which the technique in question appears. Generally, these don’t do much to explain the technique in question either.

Wish the images were better quality. Even when the clock is ticking and the light is fading, the techniques in this book can rescue your film and make every shot look like it cost a fortune. Want to Read saving…. Granted, some of the shots filmed for the book are somewhat rough, and you can’t help but wish you could also see the actual film clips being discussed, but it all works and definitely helps you see the different options, where the camera is, how the actors move, etc.
