I would like to make a few mods though: Unfortunately there are an awful lot of fake JFETs on ebay, so you are byco alone in having problems with them! Only “complaint” is that the LED is a bit dimmer than is typical for pedals. Luke Bassett 5 November at I don’t have any 2Ns but a bunch of smd Js.
I’ve found this schematic in X file: Just have yboc led blinking and always on both mode.
Let us know how you get on with that change. In effect mode the LED pulses and a there’s clean signal that goes up and down with the volume knob, but no tremolo effect in the audio.
Guitar FX Layouts: BYOC Tremolo
I’ve just been over it all again and I’m pretty confident the layout matches the tremooo. No luck so far, have no audio.
Any suggestions on changes to achieve this? Beaker 6 November at Eduardo Moreno 9 October at If pin 8 isn’t 0 volts then it isn’t grounded. The boost sounds great though, so I’ve got signal going all they way though.

What should I look for where the signal path meets the effect?

Another good trem that doesn’t get any attention is the Rocktron Pulse tremolo. Q3 C 0 B 0 E oscillating A couple have built it and had problems, but I’ve been over it and I’m confident it matches the schematic.
On the byoc site the jumper wires on the switch are connected differently. I’ve checked and rechecked for bridges, grounds, bad joints, crossed wires, and proper component orientation and such, but no dice. Just finished it and it works perfectly! Thank you Mark for the layout! Glad to see we’re all clear on that!
